The first school term session began for 2026 in all government and private primary and secondary schools as well as colleges and sixth form centres under the purview of the Ministry of Education as well as religious and Arabic schools under the purview of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Taking a closer look at the implementation of activities and initiatives in conjunction with the opening of the first school term session, Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education, visited several schools in the country.

With the start of the new school session, the Ministry of Education calls on parents and guardians to ensure that their children attend school sessions so that they do are not left behind in their learning.
